摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member made of an aluminum alloy excellent in wear resistance and seizure resistance even in the conditions in which optimum thermal spraying conditions can not be obtd. such as the case of inside diameter spraying for a cylinder bore. SOLUTION: As to this thermal spraying material, 5 to 30 wt.% AlSi based alloy powder contg., by weight, 12 to 30% Si, one or two kinds of 0.5 to 5.0% Cu and 0.2 to 3.0% Mg, at least one kind among Fe, Mn and Ni by 1 to 15%, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities and 95 to 70 wt.% carbon steel powder contg., by weight, 0.6 to 2.0% C, 0.8 to 5.0% Si, 0.1 to 0.6% Mn, and the balance carbon steel including inevitabe impurities are mixed. Then, the thermal spraying material is thermally sprayed on the sliding part, e.g. in a piston or a cylinder bore, by which coating film excellent in wear resistance can be formed.
