<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely recognize a desired pointing position by using a laser pointer or indicator, etc., by performing a process for detecting a pointing position in a display image from an indication image included in a photographed image or a point image of the laser pointer included in the photographed image. SOLUTION: A process part 70 for position detection performs a 1st detecting process for detecting the head position of a rod-shaped shade area included as an indication image in a photographed image of a CCD camera 40 as a pointing position in a display area 12 and a 2nd detecting process for detecting it from the indication image of the laser pointer included in the photographed image as the pointing position in the display area 12.
