PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer mail corresponding to the state of terminal. SOLUTION: An information center announces the reception of mail to a portable terminal 100 according to set conditions and the portable terminal 100 reports the capacity of a memory 150 to the information center so that mail can be transferred corresponding to the memory capacity. Besides, when there is not sufficient empty capacitance, the deletion of data is requested to the portable terminal 100 and unwanted data stored in the memory 150 can be deleted corresponding to this request so that all the parts or one part of received mail can be transferred corresponding to the storage state of the memory 150 by the information center.
