PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform a CO(carbon mono oxide) inspection in a short time without using a cover for the inspection. SOLUTION: This gas detector cyclically and alternately changes the temperature of a gas sensor 1 to a low temperature range and a high temperature range, detects CO gas concentration in the low temperature range, detects a methane gas concentration in the high temperature range, issues a first gas alarm for indicating the abnormality of the CO gas concentration when the CO gas concentration becomes equal to or greater than a first gas alarm point and issues a second gas alarm for indicating the abnormality of the methane gas concentration when the methane gas concentration becomes equal to or greater than a second gas alarm point. In this case, an alarm delay control part 17 issues the first gas alarm when the CO gas concentration becomes equal to or more than the first gas alarm point before 25 minutes elapse from the turning on of power supply and issues the first gas alarm when prescribed time passes after the CO gas density concentration equal to or more than first gas alarm point after 25 minutes elapse from the turning on of power supply.
