摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance connectivity of refrigerant piping in the field while enhancing natural circulation efficiency of refrigerant by an arrangement wherein gas refrigerant flows only upward from below. SOLUTION: Liquid refrigerant having a high specific gravity condensed with cold outdoor air by the condenser 2 of in the outdoor unit 1 of a natural circulation air cooled air conditioner with cold outdoor air descends gravitationally in a liquid refrigerant pipe 22 due to difference of installation height between the outdoor unit 1 and an indoor unit 14. Subsequently, the liquid refrigerant is distributed by a distributor 17 to a plurality of pipes 18 and fed to the heating tube 19 of an evaporator 16 where it is gasified by high temperature indoor atmosphere. The gasified refrigerant is collected by the branch pipes 21 of gas refrigerant piping to a main gas pipe 23 and passed through an indoor unit refrigerant piping connecting opening 15 before ascending through a gas refrigerant pipe 20. It is liquefied again in the condense 2 of the outdoor unit 1 and that cycle is repeated. In other words, air conditioning is carried out by circulating the refrigerant naturally.
