PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accounting method, capable of changing the calculation of telephone charges according to the differences of service contents such as a transmission rate. SOLUTION: A service content negotiating part 15 of an automobile telephone exchange 10 performing transmission and reception with an automobile telephone terminal 1 sets a charge rate per unit time according to service contents of a transmission line 30 used between the terminal 1 and a telephone set 2. Then, an accounting processing part 14 calculates a telephone charge according to service contents set by the part 15 and use time, when the line 30 is used between the terminal 1 and the set 2.
