PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor separator that is thin but is easily handled, and effectively reduces internal resistance, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In an electric double-layer capacitor separator, a ceramics power particle with an electric insulation property is connected by a binder with resistance against electrolyte, and at the same time the separator is jointed to the surface of positive and/or negative electrodes of the electric double-layer capacitor separator and has porosity connecting in the thickness direction. In a method for manufacturing the electric double-layer capacitor separator, a mixture 5 containing ceramics powder particles with the electric insulation property and the binder with resistance against the electrolyte is applied onto the surface of the positive and/or negative electrodes of the electric double-layer capacitor separator is hardened, and is jointed into one piece so as to form separator 12. |
