PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and the weight of a frequency conversion device and reduce the manufacturing price by using a filter means and an oscillating means having no resonant cavity. SOLUTION: A signal input in the frequency range from several hundred hertz to several giga hertz is mixed with the output of a first oscillating means 1 by a first mixing means 2, and the mixed signal is amplified by an amplifying means 4. The amplified signal is filtered in the vicinity of intermediate frequency, and the filtered signal is mixed with the output of a second oscillating means by a second mixing means 5. These filter means 3 and second oscillating means 6 have no resonant cavity. For example, the filter means is formed by etching the surface of a microwave substrate, and has three resonators connected in length and breadth. This device can be built in the front end of a spectrum analyzer, and the analyzer of easy handling and high performance in the wide range can be obtained.
