PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical deflector which is small-sized, has high precision, and operates at a high speed with a low voltage. SOLUTION: This optical deflector is equipped with at least a 1st reflector composed of a 1st striped piezoelectric unimorph element 11, 1st and 2nd support plates 12 and 13 where one end of the 1st piezoelectric unimorph element 11 is fixed, and 1st and 2nd electrodes 33 and 34 which are formed on 1st and 2nd main surfaces other than the positions of the 1st and 2nd support plates, a 2nd reflector composed of a 2nd striped piezoelectric unimorph element 21, 3rd and 4th support plates 22 and 23 where one end of the 2nd unimorph element 21 is fixed, and 3rd and 4th electrodes 35 and 36 which are formed on 3rd and 4th main surfaces other than the positions of the 3rd and 4th support plates 22 and 23, a 1st light source 31 which irradiates the 1st electrode with 1st rectangular pulse light, and a 2nd light source 32 which irradiates the 3rd electrode with 2nd rectangular pulse light turning on only for a specific period when the 1st rectangular pulse light is OFF.
