PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery excellent in discharge load characteristics in a lithium secondary battery provided with positive and negative electrodes and a nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: An active material of a positive electrode 1 or negative electrode 7 uses Li-Ti composite oxides having a spinel-type crystal structure of composition expressed by a formula Li4MxTi5-xO12. In the formula, M is at least one kind of V, Nb, Mo and P and X satisfies 0<X<=0.45. Thereby, a lithium secondary battery excellent in discharge load characteristics can be attained. |
