PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge heat from a magnetic coil being a heat generation source through the use of an air stream with the rotation of a disk by providing the magnetic coil and a heat radiation layer at the opposite surface side of the disk of a slider which is floated by means of receiving the air stream generated by means of the rotation of the disk. SOLUTION: A magnetic head is formed by the magnetic coil 1 and an insulating layer 2 and stored in a recessed groove part which is formed on the lower surface of the slider 6 for the flow-in of air to permit the slider 6 to be floated. The magnetic coil 1 is formed by winding to permit the center of a light emission surface 10 to coincide with that of the magnetic coil 1 on the same axis through the use of a conductive metallic material such as Cu, Au or Al. Then the heat radiation layer 3 is formed in the groove part on the lower surface of the slider 6 except the surface 10 to be provided with a surface area as wide as possible and as thick as possible. The layer 3 is formed by the material with excellent heat conductivity and can be formed in the same way with the same material compared with the magnetic coil 1, for example.
