PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively confirm and correct the recognition result of an OCR (optical character reader) form by enlargingly a character or the mark recogni tion result, when they are indicated on a display screen at the center etc., of a display area with linkage secured to the corresponding image part of an enlarged OCR form image and also adding a confirmation mark. SOLUTION: A mark, the character recognition result and an enlarged OCR form image are shown on the same screen of a display device. When a character or the mark recognition result is indicated on the display screen, the character or the recognition result is enlargingly displayed at the center or a prescribed position of a display area with linkage secured to the corresponding image part of the OCR form image and also a confirmation mark is added. For instance, this device includes an image store part 1 which stores the OCR form image, a recognition result store part 2 which stores the OCR form recognition result, a display 6 which display the OCR form recognition result, the OCR form image, etc., a mouse which indicates the OCR form recognition result etc., on the screen of the display 6 etc.
