PRINTER AND NETWORK PRINTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manage a printing job. SOLUTION: Communication between a user's computer 1 and a printer 11 is executed through a file transfer protocol(FTP). When printing data are transmitted from the computer 1 to the printer 11, a constitutional file generation part 14 generates a constitutional file based on the printing setting information inputted from the computer 1. A setting reference part 15 generates a menu of tree structure based on the constitutional file. The menu is displayed on a user interface part 3 in the computer 1. A user checks the processing state of the printing job, printing setting, etc., through a browser.
