<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a highly integrated and high-performance reflection type liquid crystal display device by forming a second common electrode connected to a first common electrode and having an opening in the upper region of the drain of each semiconductor active element, and by forming a plurality of pixel electrodes connected to the drain of each semiconductor active element in the opening through an inter layer insulating film and facing the first common electrode via a liquid crystal layer. SOLUTION: A second common electrode 71 as the fixed potential is formed on an interlayer insulating film 61 over the whole face of a display part B. In the second common electrode 71, openings 73 are formed at the position corresponding to contact holes. A flattening insulating film 81 is formed on the second common electrode 71. Contact holes 83 are formed at position, corresponding to the openings 73 through the interlayer insulating film 61 and the flattening insulating film 81. Reflection electrodes 91 for pixels are formed on the flattening insulating film 83 to cover the contact holes 83. The reflection electrode 91 is connected to the drain of a pixel TFT 11 in the contact hole 83.</p> |
