PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio decoder having provision for a case that the attributes of audio sample data is dynamically changed. SOLUTION: A CPU 1006 receiving an audio digital data stream from an A/V signal pickup section 1002 conducts decoding processing and adds tag data denoting an attribute of audio sample data to the decoded stream and provides an output to an audio signal conversion section 1013. The audio signal conversion section 1013 applies timing control or the like for an output operation off the sample data in response to the tag data.
