PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a count circuit without impairing its substantial function. SOLUTION: This count circuit 111 is provided with a circuit 20 that detects whether or not initial data R3, R4 of prescribed high-order bits among initial data stored in a register 10 are all '1B' and with a clock supply control circuit 30 that inhibits supply of a clock signal CLK to flip-flop circuits 101-3, 101-4 that conduct count processing for the prescribed high-order bits when the initial data R3, R4 of prescribed high-order bits are all '1B'.
