PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of insufficient mechanical strength and improper appearance. SOLUTION: A joint 13 that is formed to be fixed to a tip of a whip element 21 is inserted in a top plug 12 provided with an extended diameter part 12a and an insertion part 12b. Then a coil plug 20 formed with a coil element 20a and a coil plug thread part 20b at its lower part is screwed to an extended diameter thread part 12c. Thus, a guard-like lock part 13c formed to a tip of the joint 13 is clamped by a lower face of the coil plug 20 and a step at a border between the extended diameter part 12a and the insertion part 12b to be surely fixed. A top cover is formed to enclose the extended diameter part 12a and the coil plug 20 to form the antenna top. Since the joint 13 is not insert-formed in the insertion part 12b of the top plug 12, no defective forming or the like is caused. Furthermore, a plurality of projections to improve mechanical strength are formed on an outer circumferential face of the joint 13.
