PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo connector for certainly positioning and inter- coupling connecting portions of light wave guides such as light wave guides without requiring a special component, by accurately positioning and optically coupling a connecting portion of a first light guide portion and a connecting portion of a second light guide portion. SOLUTION: This photo-connector device 10 includes a first connector portion 11 and a second connector portion 12 for transmitting an optical signal. The first connector portion 11 holds a connecting portion 14 of a first light wave guide 13. The second connector portion 12 holds a connecting portion 16 of a second light wave guide 15. Connecting surfaces 70, 72 of the first connector portion 11 and the second connector portion 12 are interconnected about a center line. Thus, the first connector portion 11 and the second connector portion 12 can be certainly mechanically positioned and fixed. Therefore, connecting ends 74, 76 of the first light wave guide 13 and the second light wave guide 15 are accurately positioned along the central axis and optically coupled.
