PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple, prompt method for evaluating a lithium cobaltate used for a positive electrode material of a nonaqueous lithium secondary battery. SOLUTION: In this method for evaluating a lithium cobaltate used for a positive electrode material of a lithium secondary battery, a lithium cobaltate powder is filled in a container provided with an electrode 3 and a current value is measured by applying a constant dc voltage as pressurized. According to relativity between this current value and an initial service capacity in a battery- mounting test, a battery performance of the lithium cobaltate is evaluated relatively. |
