PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated moving measurement device capable of preparing the plan of a drift and accurately crossing and measuring the drift or a structure in the ground. SOLUTION: This device is an automated guiding device capable of accurately deciding a position inside an environment with walls such as a mine and a building. A freely movable unit incorporating an inertia measurement unit 18, a gray scale vision system processor 24 and a camera 26 initializes the position and then updates the position inside the environment. The device is especially suited to prepare the plan (TOPES) inside the drift 16 and is suitable for guiding equipment passing through such an environment. |
