PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device for an optical device whose length in an optical axis direction is made as short as possible by fixing either lens barrel of a double-structure lens barrel, making the other lens barrel thereof freely turn, forming a locking tongue piece part at the rear end of the fixed lens barrel, forming a cam hole formed on the fixed side lens barrel to the position of the locking tongue piece part, forming a locking hole for receiving the locking tongue piece part on a foundation plate, and fixing the fixed-side lens barrel on the foundation plate in a state where the locking tongue piece part is inserted in the locking hole. SOLUTION: The locking tongue piece part 24c whose rear is directed is formed at a proper position at the rear end of the fixed lens barrel 24, and a linear cam hole 24a is formed to be extended to a position where it gets to the piece part 24c. The locking hole 20b receiving the piece part 24c is formed at the proper position of the foundation plate 20, and the piece part 24c is inserted in the hole 20b so as to attach the lens barrel 24 to the plate 20. Since the hole 24a is positioned more backward than the front surface of the plate 20, a cam pin 26 is retreated to a position where it abuts on the plate 20.
