PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device making an optical sensor possible to exactly detect toner density of the toner pattern by minimizing a shape of the toner pattern, in the image forming device performing the control of the image forming condition or the like, forming the toner pattern, detecting the toner density of the formed toner pattern by means of the optical sensor or the like, and performing the image forming control or the like based on the detection result. SOLUTION: This image forming device is, provided with a first AIDC(auto image density control) reading timer 104 for counting the time from the specified reference time, to the timing time for detectioning the AIDC pattern by the AIDC sensor SE1, and a RAM 103 storing the count value obtained by the timer 104, based on the count value stored by the RAM 103, and moreover the device is got so as to perform the density detection by the AIDC sensor SE1 at the specific timing, based on the count value being stored the RAM 103. |
