PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality output image without difference in output images caused by the combination when plural machines such as copiers, scanners, and printers are connected to configure an image forming system. SOLUTION: Reading parts 64, 74 (94, 114) of copying devices 60, 70, 90, 110 and writing parts 89, 109 of printers 80, 100 have storage parts for storing individual ID data for discriminating themselves, and also their peculiar characteristic values of the reading parts 64, 74, (94, 114) of the copying devices 60, 70, 90, 110, for example, characteristic values showing geometrical magnification error characteristics to a manuscript, or characteristic values showing reflectance-photoelectric output (γ) characteristics to the manuscript. Here, when image data are transferred, the system forwards the ID data of these reading parts 64, 74, (94, 114) to the target address before the image data, and at the target address the image data are corrected based on the characteristic values of the reading parts of the output source stored in the storage part referring to the ID data which have been forwarded to the target address. |
