PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cache hit rate and the processing speed of image data by efficiently storing image data being large scale two-dimensional data in a cache. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a cache memory 1 storing a part of data on a main memory, an address conversion circuit 2 which converts a part of an address field used to access the memory 1, a write controlling part 5 which uses a converted address obtained by converting a part of the address field outputted from the circuit 2 and stores a part of data stored in the main memory in the cache memory and a read controlling part 5 that reads data when data designated by an address whose address field outputted from the circuit 2 is converted partially exists on the cache memory.
