摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sintered substrate for an alkaline storage battery having a high porous rate and a uniform pore distribution by swelling a microcapsule evenly. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a sintered substrate for an alkaline storage battery has a process for dispersing microcapsules in a paste liquid, the shell of the microcapsule is softened by heating and the softened shell is swollen by a vapor pressure of a low boiling point hydrocarbon inside the shell, a process for preparing a slurry by mixing a nickel powder with the paste liquid, and a process for coating, heating and drying the slurry on a metal core material and then sintering the slurry in the reducing atmosphere. In the process for dispersing the microcapsules in the paste liquid, a water-soluble polymer emulsion is added.
