PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an image input device to input a picture with a wide visual field and high picture quality to a display means by reducing the effect of parallax included in partial pictures in the case of compositing a plurality of the acquired partial pictures. SOLUTION: The image input device photographs parts of an object while changing the photographing direction by turning a camera 005, projects a plurality of the acquired partial object pictures onto a projection plane, composites the partial pictures on a picture plane on the basis of the projection result, and inputs the composited picture to a display means, and is provided with a picture compositing means 009 that sets a turning center of the camera 005 to a center of projection in the case of compositing a plurality of the partial pictures and selects a cross point between a view point of the camera 005 and the projection plane set in space and a straight line, which passes through the turning center of the camera 005 in parallel with a straight line tying pixels of each partial picture on the picture plane on which each of a plurality of the partial pictures is formed, to be a projection point of each pixel on each partial picture. |
