PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detector for an electromagnet coil capable of accurately detecting a temperature irrespective of a switching period in the case of driving to switch the coil. SOLUTION: A voltage VCOIL across an electromagnet coil 15a is input to an integrator 23, and the voltage VCOIL is integrated in a substantially constant state. A DC resistance RCOIL of the coil 15a is calculated in response to a voltage VINT obtained by the integrating, and a coil temperature TCOIL is calculated from the resistance RCOIL.
