PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture an absorber with a simple method, reduce cost, reduce weight, improve fitting property to a radio dark room or a building and to make the electromagnetic wave absorbing rate to be satisfactory in a wide band. SOLUTION: A sintered ferrite magnetic body 5, where lattice bridges 5a are arranged by leaving prescribed intervals, is fitted on a metallic reflection board 3 and an electromagnetic wave absorber for a wide band 1 is constituted. The lattice bridges of the sintered ferrite magnetic body 5 form the sintered ferrite board of a prescribed thickness into a bent face, where mutual intervals gradually become narrow from the base roots to a top and the top is converged to the width which nearly matches the thickness of the sintered ferrite board with base root width and height, which have opening parts between the base roots of the lattice bridges 5a. A gap formed in the roots of the lattice bridges 5a is made into a dielectric layer.
