PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation displacement terminal enhancing reliability of contact. SOLUTION: This insulation displacement terminal 1 has pressure contact blades 1f, 1g provided respectively in front and rear positions. The insulation displacement blades 1f, 1g are folded back into two at slots 1d to form folded faces 1j. A wire-guiding inclined edge 1h is formed at a predetermined angle across the two folded parts at the entrance edge of the slot 1d in each of the insulation displacement blades 1f, 1g. An outward edge 1i having a slope at its front is formed at the wire-guiding sloped edge 1h of the pressure contact blade 1f in the front position and an outward edge 1i having a slope at its rear is formed on the wire-guiding sloped edge 1h of the insulation displacement blade 1g in the rear position.
