PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a musical sound like that of a rubbed string instrument even when a sound source is driven by using a simple playing operation element such as a keyboard. SOLUTION: When the key-ON signal (KEYON) from the keyboard rises, a clear signal (CLEAR) is generated and a phase accumulator is reset. At the same time, data having a constant value are selected and outputted from a selector with an H-level selection control signal (SELCONT). When tremolos are indicated with bowing control operation information (CNTRL), the selection control signal falls to an L level and a periodic waveform which is read out according to a phase signal generated by the phase accumulator and converted is outputted as a driving signal from the selector. This driving signal shows the bowing speed and bowing pressure of a bow body in reciprocal motion in tremolo playing and this driving signal drives the sound source to obtain a musical sound like that of a rubbed string instrument. |
