摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform bracketing test of a low-speed private line, corresponding to the remote control of a worker on the side of a subscriber house by transmitting a bracketing control signal from the outside through a general telephone line to an exchange station and executing automatic bracketing operation at the prescribed node of the low-speed private line under remote control. SOLUTION: An item designation code for designating the respective items of the bracketing test in all the blocks of the low-speed private line is sent from any transmitting terminal through the general telephone line to the exchange station to perform fault search for the low-speed private line. Relay operation, corresponding to the style of executing the respective items of the bracketing test specified by this item designation code, is executed at the bracketing point of the exchange station and the low-speed private line. Namely, a relay circuit 51 of a remote and automatic private line testing device 5 is interposed and installed at the node of a carrier signal device in the exchange station and the low-speed private line and the respective items of the bracketing test of the low-speed private line at that node can be executed, according to the class of a control signal applied from the outside.</p>
