PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine generator capable of realizing miniaturization and shortening of an engine, generator, and their constituent components, reduction of space, weight and cost, and common use of components. SOLUTION: The tip part of a rotor shaft 11 of a generator 9 is engaged and linked with a crank shaft 6 of an engine 1, and the generator 9 is operated by driving the engine 1. A fan 19 is fitted to an end portion of the rotor shaft 11, which is axially supported by a rear housing 15 of the generator 9 via a bearing 18A. The body 20 of the fan 19 is formed to have a nearly hat-shaped cross section. The bearing 18A is fitted movably in the body 20 from the body rear side. A generator cover and the like are excluded and contraction to only spaces S1 and S2 for exclusive use is enabled, so that the total length of the generator 9 and the constituent components can be reduced and increase of weight and mold cost can be restrained and prevented.
