PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL lamp of multi-color emission type, capable of emitting different colors clearly with high brightness using a less number of component layers. SOLUTION: Color filter layers 14a and 14b are formed on a transparent board 5, in such a way as overlapped on optical transmission electrode layers 6a and 6b in the form of thin stripes, and thereon a light emitting substance layer 15 and a dielectric substance layer 8 are formed so as to make white light emission, whereon a back face electrode layer 12 is formed so that as EL lamp is attained, and thereby the resultant lamp emits light clearly with a high brightness and hardly generates unevenness in brightness.
