PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately enable communication with both two communication standards of optical interfaces while unnecessitating a new construction by providing a selective setting part or the like for selectively setting which of multi-mode fiber and single mode fiber is to be used. SOLUTION: A user judges whether a signal transmitted from a transmitter 1 is the communication standard signal of 1000BASE-LX to use short wavelength light as an optical interface or the communication standard signal of 1000BASE- SX to use long wavelength light. Then, the user switches the switch of a selective setting part 9 or the like so that a bypass part 6 can set whether the signal transmitted from the transmitter 1 is to be transmitted to a multi-mode fiber 3 or to a single mode fiber 4. Thus, since a setter can set a connection route concerning whether the transmitter 1 and a receiver 2 to be connected are 1000BASE-LX specification or 1000BASE-SX specification, communication is enabled with both the communication standards. |
