PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for mounting components, whereby the alignment of a substrate with electronic components can be reliably realized at a high speed. SOLUTION: This mounting apparatus corrects angular deviation in a direction θ between a cell 1 and a TAB 4 and then recognizes the relative position between the cell 1 and a TAB 4 again to correct the deviations in the directions X, Y, such that an X-Y-θ stage rotates and moves the cell 1 to correct the angular deviation in the direction θ between the cell 1 and TAB 4 and the cell 1 is moved in the X and Y directions to avoid deviating the cell 1 out of the image pickup field of view 25 of an image pickup means during rotating thereof, thereby keeping the relative position of the cell 1 and TAB 4 always constant to avoid making the cell 1 deviate from the field of view 25. Thus the alignment of the cell 1 with TAB 4 is made without fail. |
