PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience by providing a means etc., for instructing the selection of a signal selecting means and a data selecting means for selecting a video signal and control data in a corresponding relation so as to control a peripheral device by means of a device for supplying the video signal. SOLUTION: A display device is provided with a USB hub 14 for distributing control data to peripheral devices, a switch instructing means 12 etc., for instructing the selection of a signal selecting means (SW1) 11 and a data selecting means (SW2) 13 for selecting a video signal and the control data in a corresponding relation. Then, at the time of selecting the first personal computer 6 by the means 12, a display panel 10 displays based on a video signal outputted from the personal computer 6, and each peripheral device and the first personal computer 6 are connected through a first serial input means 4, a second switch means 13, a USB hub 14 and a port 18. Thus, the peripheral devices can be controlled by the first personal computer 6 while watching the display of the panel 10.
