摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor unit and a system that miniaturization and lightweight of the unit are attained and the monitoring is attained continuously over a long time even at a place where a malfunctioned lifeline can be anticipated. SOLUTION: This monitor unit employs a CMOS image sensor 3 to attain low power consumption so that the unit can be available for a long time. Since the monitor unit eliminates the need for a plurality of power supplies and coolers, the unit requires no installation that supplies large power stably and the supervisory unit can continuously supervise an object even at a place where no lifeline works such as a disaster area. The monitor unit has a parachute 510 to allow aerial delivery so that the monitor unit can quickly and easily be installed at and developed in a disaster area or the like. Furthermore, the unit utilizes a gimbal mechanism 20 to direct an antenna 15 for signal transmission reception and self-positioning purposes in a proper direction so as to transmit/receive a signal and orientate its own position in an excellent way at all times. Moreover, the enclosure of the monitor unit is designed to be watertight and to float on water so that the monitor unit can continue monitoring even when the monitor unit is delivered on rivers.
