PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase difference signal whose level is constant even after adjustment and to facilitate phase adjustment. SOLUTION: A rotary switch 205 sets a quadrant, and an output of a ROM 201, or an output of an inverting circuit 203, or an output of a ROM 202 or an output of an inverting circuit 204 is selectively outputted depending on the set quadrant. Then a variable resistor 206a of a synthesis circuit 206 is used to synthesize the introduced SIN and COS signals while setting the level of each signal.
