PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten read time by generating a C1 code word composed of one symbol by applying delay to data at the interval of two symbols, generating a flag showing correction information, giving a row number, storing plural flags based on the same C1 code word, generating a C2 code word composed of J symbols, reading the flag and correcting the error of the C2 code word while referring to the flag. SOLUTION: An EFM demodulation circuit 112 generates data for the length of 32 symbols by performing EFM demodulation to a digital signal dispatched from a demodulation circuit 206 and dispatches these data to a decoding part 104. A first deinterleaver A105 of the decoding part 104 generates the C1 code word and inputs it to a C1 decoding circuit 106. Synchronously with the input of the generated C1 code word to the C1 decoding circuit 106, a first 128-adic counter A110 successively generates row numbers 0-127 corresponding to the respective C1 code words. The C1 decoding circuit 106 fetches the generated C1 code words and the correspondent row numbers. Besides, the errors of the respective C1 code words are corrected.
