PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio amplifier circuit that can prevent the occurrence of a shock noise caused at application and interruption of power in spite of a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The audio amplifier circuit that amplifies an audio signal and outputs the amplified signal from an output terminal 18 externally via a coupling capacitor C1, is provided with a terminal to which a reference voltage Vref rising in a prescribed time before application of power to the audio amplifier circuit and falling down in a prescribed time after the interruption of power is applied and with a noise elimination resistor R4 that interconnects the terminal and the coupling capacitor C1. Thus, rapid charging or discharging of the coupling capacitor can be avoided at application or interruption of power through a simple configuration of using only one resistor so as to prevent occurrence of a shock noise.
