PURPOSE: An apparatus for ascertaining opening and closing of a gas valve is provided to visually ascertain the opening and closing operation of the gas valve even people who can not see since a lamp turns on and off according to the opening and closing operation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for ascertaining opening and closing of a gas valve includes a gas valve(2) installed in a gas supply pipe(1) for being movable to right and left, an elastic member(3) fixedly installed in a wall vertical to the gas supply pipe for being pushed toward the wall by right and left rotation of the gas valve, a push switch(5) turned on and off by the pushing operation of the elastic member, a lamp(11) installed in the outer upper part of a case(9) fixedly installed in the wall for being electrically connected with one D.C. power supply of two D.C. power supplies connected with the switch through a wire(7), a melody kit(13) installed in the middle of the case for being electrically connected with another D.C. power supply, and a slide switch(15) installed in the lower part of the case for being electrically connected with the melody kit.
