A method of inserting additional content into an existing content stream by inserting request for content from an information servers into an existing web request at the point of access. This is accomplished by intercepting an original request for web content from a web destination and supplementing the request with one or more requests for content from another information server. In addition, the present invention relates to methods for delivering customized, personalized, targeted, context or destination URL triggered content through a combination of "push" and "pull" mechanism to users, and to capture user eyeball attention throughout a user's entire network access session in a portable and non-intrusive manner.
