Seasoning mixture comprises 1-50 wt.% beer yeast autolysate (I) and one or more of salt, flavorings, flavoring extracts, spices, glucose, lactose and dried yeast. Independent claims are also included for (a) a process for seasoning food by adding (I) or the cited mixture during manufacture or/and preparation; and (b) food, other than beer, containing (I) or the mixture in an amount corresponding to 0.1-5 g (I)/kg food.
