<p>Endless track laying work machines (10) are provided with a pair of track roller assemblies (18) positioned on opposite sides of the work machine (10). Each track roller assembly (18) includes an endless rubber belt (26) entrained around a drive wheel (22), an idler wheel (24), and a plurality of supporting midrollers (28). Each track roller assembly (18) is connected with and supported by a suspension member (52) that provides both rearward and upward deflection. The present suspention member (52) includes a first member (60) that is rigidly attached to the machine frame. A second member (62) is pivotally connected to the first member (60). A cushioning assembly (150) is formed in an arcuate configuration by a first flexible member (64) that is connected to the first member (60), a second flexible member (66) that is connected to the second member (62) and a wedge member interposes the first (64) and second flexible members (66).</p> |
