A pyrimidine cross-linking agent (I) for thermally curable compositions (II) is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the preparation of the thermally curable composition (II) using the cross-linking agent (I); (ii) the composition (II); and (iii) a single or multi-layer coating, adhesive, sealant or molded article containing (I) and a substrate coated with a composition containing (I).
