Echo compensation device for hands-free telephone, uses calibration signal for providing coefficients for echo replicator simulating loudspeaker-room-microphone system

The echo compensation device uses an echo replicator (5) for simulating the response of the loudspeaker-room-microphone system of the loudspeaking telephone, to provide an output signal which is subtracted from the output signal of the loudspeaker-room-microphone system. The input signal for the latter is combined with a calibration signal, with detection of the calibration signal for providing the coefficients for the echo replicator.
