METHOD FOR LOADING RELATION DATA ON LINE IN DATABASE IN OPERATION

PURPOSE: A method for loading relation data on line in a database in operation is provided to restore data without the interruption of a service of a system due to database damage by re-regenerating the relation of a damaged portion individually and loading on an associated relation domain of a memory directly. CONSTITUTION: A database file to be loaded from a disk is opened(S1) and the identifier and header location information of a relation to be loaded from database header information are collected(S2). Relation style information is searched from a relation header(S3) and it is discriminated whether a relation to be loaded is a duplicated relation(S4). As a result of discrimination, in case that a duplicated inspection function is not under execution, an address wherein a real relation data exists is obtained from relation header information(S6). The tuple quantity, tuple size and last tuple number of data are obtained from relation header information(S7). Total data size is calculated by multiplying the last tuple number by the tuple size(S8). The data to be loaded is read from the disk, and loading information and data are transmitted to a memory(S9).
