A building component having first and second high density foam panels (12, 1 4) and improved bridging members (42) for connecting the panels (12, 14) that extend between and may be molded into the panels (12, 14). The bridging members (42) include a pair of elongated end plates (44, 46) oriented in a t op to bottom direction of the panels (12, 14), a pair of substantially identica l web members (48, 49) joining the end plates (44, 46) and being substantially symmetrically disposed above and below a central horizontal axis (X-X) of th e bridging member (42), and a pair of strip members (60, 62) oriented in the t op to bottom direction of the panels (12, 14) intersecting the web members (48, 49).
