ALKYL CYCLOHEXANECARBOXYLATE USING 2+4 DIELS-ALDER REACTION

PURPOSE: An alkyl cyclohexanecarboxylate using a £2+4| Diels-Alder reaction is provided in a high yield, which is used for raw materials of a perfuming agent, a perfume, a detergent, a cosmetic and etc. CONSTITUTION: The alkyl cyclohexanecarboxylate is produced by a process comprising the steps of: reacting 1,3-butadiene with an alkyl acrylate at 80-200°C using Diels-Alder reaction to prepare an alkyl 3-cyclohexane-1-carboxylate; performing a hydrolysis in solvent such as ethanol, methanol, toluene under hydrogen pressure of 10-20 psi in the presence of 0.5-5 wt% (based on the alkyl 3-cyclohexane-1-carboxylate) of palladium or platinum catalyst at normal temperature.
