PURPOSE: An UV curing resin composition for the first-stage coating of optical fiber is provided, to improve the elongation, the water-resistance, the curing degree, the hydrogen generation, the refractive index and the glass adhesion and to reduce the strength and the elasticity. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition comprises 40-80 wt% of polyurethane (meth)acrylate oligomer; 20-60 wt% of a reactive monomer diluting agent having at least one acryloyl group; and 0-8 wt% of at least one photoinitiator capable of being initiated by UV light. The polyurethane (meth)acrylate oligomer is prepared by reacting 4-16 wt% of at least one polyisocyanate; 30-65 wt% of at least one hydrocarbon polyol; and 1.0-4.0 wt% of (meth)acrylate compound having a hydroxy group and at least one functional group capable of being photo-cured, and its number average molecular weight is 1,000-50,000, preferably 3,000-30,000. |
